A group of complimentary barbeque brands looking for a cost-effective national summer sponsorship that can be leveraged locally for additional merchandising support in grocery retail stores.

Solution

  • Negotiated a first-of-its-kind national partnership with Minor League Baseball that included activation elements from all 140 teams

  • Trained client sales force on retailer sell-in with available tactics, including:

    • In-park retailer signage

    • In-store promotional signage, ad slicks, and social media headers highlighting the promotion.

    • Sweepstakes items, including tickets, group tailgate parties, and batboy for a day available at each home game

    • Leveraged Minor League Baseball and individual teams' significant social media reach on behalf of participating brands.

Results

  • Promotion was a "hit" with local and regional retailers who were eager to differentiate themselves from their larger national competitors

  • Delivered additional merchandised volume at each participating retailer
